Sports in Kununurra
In small places there is not that much to do. On Wednesdays there is Karaoke night, Friday is just the evening to go out. And that is about it. This is why events like the races, agricultural expo and couple more are very important and everybody will not miss these events.
Lets say that after 2 months all the faces are getting very familiar and I have more and more local people to share a beer or just to say "How is it going, mate"
The big event - Horse Race's Ladies Day

Ladies
Besides ladies there were also horses. Notice the smoke at the background
When Friday is getting out of hand.
This is the place I live. And the red glow is the bushfire that was visible from the race course. We were very lucky not to be burnt down. Few kms further down the road one camp site got burnt down

Life around Kununurra
Mulching down bush. Luckily this work is over, as the day when the tractor didn't break down was a good one. Like being in war - sticks from bush flying around, coming through the fuel tank, front radiator, through the tyres etc. So there she is out there with a flat front tyre.
Lake Argyle - the biggest man made lake in Southern Hemisphere

One reason why people in Australia actually need 4WD vehicles, yes yes, i know the side walks in Tallinn are soooooo high, that we also just cannot live without 4WD vehicles :) Would be nice to see this crossing during the wet season.
