To the sun of Bohol island, Philippines

Detours in trip - initial plan had dedicated for Bohol only 1.5 days, finally stayed nearly a week till the end of the holiday. The original idea was to check out if the main sightseeing site Chocolate Hills are edible or not. Were not.


Virgin island, thin island with few trees and a long circular sandbar.

Day trip to the centre of island with a goal to taste the Chocolate Hills. On the way met also the mascot of Bohol, tarsier primates.

Once again caught by monsoon, not a nice option if being 70km from hotel on motorbike, evening is getting closer and there is something dodgy with the front light.

Going fishing on Camiguin. Not a part of the initial plan, but really exciting addition, actually one of the highlights of the trip.

On the trip around the island noticed bunch of fishermen on the beach by the road. They were busy getting the net in, this was a good opportunity to join them in "tourist"-way: while raining made photos from under shelter; while it was again sunny joined for pulling out the net.




Fishing in the rain. The net is dragged with boat in U-shape from one spot of beach to other, when this is done the slow process of pulling it out starts. Here still 1.5 hours to go.
