1st swim in China

In the coastal city, like Shanghai is, it took me 7 month to make it to the sea… 600km north from Shanghai, city called QingDao. Of course one of the busy places especially the main beaches, as local people don’t swim that much it was kind of interesting to watch crowds of people standing in the knee-deep water and only few swimming. Anyway I was happy to find small piece of beach for swimming with rather few people a bit further away from shark nets.

Qingdao in sunset. Haze is always covering the far horizon. One old military submarine in museum. When we got excited and made few photos of some military petrol station with huge pillars and golden letters we almost got kicked by a passing lady, as it obviously can be no good if western people are making photos on streets towards petrol station.

How many new weds can you spot? Hard to say if it is like this every Saturday in Qingdao, but on that day there were hundreds of brides and grooms jumping from rock to rock to get the best photo. It left the impression that the most important part of wedding ceremony is actually the photo made in white dress and suite. Wedding clothes pulled just over the daily jeans and sneakers.

Best seafood in town, just time to time a bit tight when buses were making their way by.
